We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Ophthalmic Assistant to support eye care services at DCWC Community Hospital. The role involves assisting in eye examinations, patient care, and basic ophthalmic procedures, particularly in a rural healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations and vision testing (visual acuity, refraction support)
• Conduct preliminary eye screenings and patient assessments
• Administer eye drops as prescribed
• Maintain and handle ophthalmic equipment properly
• Record and maintain patient data and medical history
• Assist in organizing eye camps and outreach programs in rural areas
• Educate patients on eye care, hygiene, and treatment plans
• Refer patients with critical conditions to city eye hospitals
• Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of the eye care unit
• Coordinate with other departments for patient care and referrals
